Worth mentioning in your email
- Which iPhone you are using, and which version of iOS.
- The counter's settings: repeating or one-off, the times, the length of the home stretch.
- What you expected to see, and what you saw instead. A screenshot of the Lock Screen helps most.
A few answers in advance
The countdown did not appear on my Lock Screen.
Two things to check. First, Live Activities have to be allowed for HomeStretch: open the iPhone Settings, find HomeStretch, and turn on Live Activities. Second, iOS shows the countdown only during the home stretch — the last part of the window, at most 7 hours 45 minutes before the end. Before that, the Home Screen widget carries the countdown.
If iOS declined to start the countdown on its own, a notification saying Tap to start the home stretch arrives at the start of the home stretch. Tapping it puts the countdown on the Lock Screen.
Why does it stop after 8 hours?
iOS ends every Live Activity after eight hours. HomeStretch therefore never asks for more than 7 hours 45 minutes, and does not try to work around it — no background tricks, nothing running while you are not looking. Long countdowns live in the widget until the home stretch begins.
The alarm at the end did not ring.
The end alarm is a Pro feature and uses the iPhone's own alarm system, so it rings through Silent mode and Focus. It needs its own permission: the first time you choose Alarm under When it ends, iOS asks whether HomeStretch may schedule alarms. If you said no back then, open the iPhone Settings → HomeStretch and allow alarms. Without that permission, the app falls back to a normal notification at the end.
I swiped the countdown away. Will it come back?
Not for that day — dismissing a countdown is a decision HomeStretch respects. The next occurrence of a repeating counter starts on its own again.
I bought Pro on another iPhone.
Open the app, go to Settings → Restore purchases. Pro is tied to your Apple Account, so it comes back on any of your devices signed in with it.
How do I cancel the subscription?
Subscriptions are managed by Apple: iPhone Settings → your name → Subscriptions → HomeStretch Pro. Lifetime is a single purchase and has nothing to cancel.
How do I delete my data?
In the app, Settings → Delete all data removes every counter, the history and any running countdown from your iPhone. Deleting the app does the same. Your data was never anywhere else — see the privacy policy.
Siri, Shortcuts and Control Center do nothing.
They are part of HomeStretch Pro. With Pro, say "Start the home stretch in HomeStretch", or add the HomeStretch button to Control Center — it starts your first counter's home stretch if one is running right now.
