One line

HomeStretch puts the last hours of your day on the Lock Screen — by itself, when the end gets close.

Short description

HomeStretch Countdown is an iPhone app for the part of the day you actually watch the clock for: the last hours of a school day, a shift, a workout or a fast, or the days before a subscription renews. Instead of opening an app, the remaining time appears by itself on the Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island during the "home stretch" — the final stretch of the window, at most 7 h 45 min — and then goes away. No account, no analytics, no ads; counters and history stay on the device.

Long description

Every counter is a window of time: a weekly schedule (Monday to Friday, 8:00–15:30) or a one-off date (an event next week, a subscription that renews in a month). HomeStretch works out when the last stretch begins and starts a Live Activity for exactly that part, rendered by iOS from a start and an end date, so it is accurate to the second without any timer running on the phone. Before the stretch, and for countdowns days away, Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets show the same. iOS mirrors the Live Activity to the Apple Watch Smart Stack and to StandBy.

Six card styles (digits, dots, bar, ring, a sentence you write yourself, and a seven-segment LED) and six palettes make it yours. HomeStretch Pro adds unlimited counters, all styles and palettes, custom sentences, an AlarmKit end alarm that rings through Silent and Focus (with a "+15 min" button), Siri Shortcuts and a Control Center button. A quick timer, a template wizard (school day, shift, workday, workout, fast, subscription ends, event) and a History calendar of finished home stretches round it out. The app is localized in ten languages and built for iOS 26, with an Icon Composer icon and a Liquid Glass interface.
